The Cowboys continue to shoot themselves in the foot with penalties. We have not sustained a decent drive. Crayton’s bad finger is effecting his ability to catch the ball, pull him now. Not only are we playing against the Bears, but we’re playing against the refs in this game. We’re getting some horrible calls, and Im starting to wonder if we have a ref in this
Another solid game from the offense. The similarities between this offensive squads of the ’90s is eeriely similar. Under Jimmy Johnson, the Cowboys took a good half to get going, and these Cowboys are the same. Garrett has been surgical with his play selection and Romo has been pinpoint accurate; and, the combination of the two will be deadly effective against our opponents.
The Cowboys square off against the Dolphins in what should be a relatively close game despite some blowout predictions I’ve been reading on the web. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for blowouts, and its not out of the realm as a possibility; however, the Dolphins have a good defense which could keep them in the game. As you read in our Phinfever.com Q&A session,
Number 82, Jason Witten, is Romo’s closest teammate. Last season, fans thought Witten would have a dominating season; but, this did not happen. Witten was used in a predictable conservative offense that did not allow Witten to showcase his catching and route running skills. Witten scored just one TD in 2006. During the preseason, Witten looked to be Novacek reincarnated; and,
I got together with Dave, our FRN affliate Dolphins fansite, Phinfever.com and he’ll be answering a few questions on the upcoming game against our Cowboys. Be sure to visit their site, our message boards have been debating back and forth as to what the outcome will be. CowboysBlog.Net: Tell me why you think the Dolphins will defeat the Cowboys on Sunday? Phinfever.Com: Who
I’m going to break down who has the stronger starting rosters in this upcoming game. The player in bold is the better player, and bold italics means even, at their respective positions. OFFENSE QB: Romo vs. Manning RB: Jones & Barber vs. Jacobs & Droughns WR: Owens vs. Burress WR(2): Glenn vs. Toomer WR(3): Crayton vs. Smith TE: Witten vs. Shockey FB: Hoyte
On the eve of America’s real “pastime” it doesn’t matter if your favorite team is not the Saints or Colts, the fact is, Football is here! No more boring sports like tennis, golf, and baseball to torture us for most of the offseason. The real deal, NFL, is back on the block and all other sports can now take their designated seats in the back row. Get
Alright Cowboys Fans, let’s get back into the groove. There’s lots of doom and gloom going around out there, and it all revolves around the defense. Everyone’s concentrating around our injuries, and frustrations over recent roster moves. Obviously, the powers that be have decided to roll with what we have on this team, so that’s-that for now. Let’s
I wasn’t surprised by the first round of cuts today; however, I hope Jackie Battle can return via the practice squad, assuming he can recover from the ankle injury. After watching training camp and the first three preseason games, the 53-man roster is becoming clearer. Here’s my latest roster projections: QB (2): Tony Romo, Brad Johnson RB (3): Julius Jones, Marion Barber
The defense is going to be stout this year. The defense was able to man handle that Bronco offensive line, which are usually the guys delving out the punishment, not tonight! Swarming tackles are back in Big D. Miles Austin had a horrible 1st half. A lot of errors from the young WRs. Nick Folk connects on a 52yrd FG, Gramatica misses from 51yrds out. Here are my notes from the 1st
For those lucky to see the Cowboys vs Broncos game, you’re lucky. I’m stuck here in Houston, and we’re getting the Chargers vs. Rams. Lame. Kickoff: Texas Stadium, 7PM CST, CBS The game will be replayed on NFL Network on Sunday, 4PM CST. Here’s what NFL.com has on the game pregame report: IRVING, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos are done
The one thing that stands out with Garrett’s new offense was the ability to disguise plays. You’re not ever quite sure of the Cowboys are going to run. As stated in previous posts, the Cowboys are not going to display the full gamut in their offensive schemes in the preseason; however, the Cowboys may have showed off a new found power in Anthony Fasano. You can call
