With the draft just five weeks away, I wanted to take a closer look at the way the Dallas Cowboys draft. This took me a couple of days to break down, but the data is pretty telling. In particular, I wanted to see from which NCAA conference the Cowboys like to draw players from over the past 10 draft classes 2003-2013. We’ll look at the Parcells, Phillips, and Garrett eras.
If history is any indicator, then expect the Cowboys to be very quiet come the start of free agency. In fact, it could be said the Cowboys have already made their biggest splash by re-signing kicker, Dan Bailey to a 6-year deal. That being said, the Cowboys will rely on the draft more than ever. The two worst teams in the NFC East will face off again tonight, for a battle of last place. Who will win, does anyone care at this point? The Cowboys and Eagles are mirror images of themselves, so it’ll just be a matter of which team will make the most mistakes. Both of these teams embody and define what a bad football team is, and tonight one of these teams will take another

Coach Garrett has methodically jettisoned players that do not fit his philosophy, and is plugging-in his type of players. Drafting Morris Claiborne was a major statement pick, and set everyone on the team on notice, the Cowboys have no problems upgrading
The Cowboys destroyed the Rams 34-7 and that’s how it was suppose to be scripted, so this win puts back to .500 for the year and 2nd place in the NFC East. The story everyone will be talking about is the emergence of DeMarco Murray who smashed several Cowboys records and rushed for 253 yards. The story line was the same on the defensive side of the ball: constant pressure,
