Five Possible Surprise 1st round picks for the Cowboys

The Cowboys have never been one to leak out what player they have true interest in, although leaked pics of their board have come out previously after the draft as outlined by BTB last year. We got a glimpse of how the Cowboys grade their prospect which differs in stark contrast to what the average fans thinks of player rankings. And if history is any indicator, this year’s

Which NCAA Conference do the Cowboys prefer to Draft from?

With the draft just five weeks away, I wanted to take a closer look at the way the Dallas Cowboys draft. This took me a couple of days to break down, but the data is pretty telling.  In particular, I wanted to see from which NCAA conference the Cowboys like to draw players from over the past 10 draft classes 2003-2013. We’ll look at the Parcells, Phillips, and Garrett eras.

Will Mock Drafters get the Donald pick completely wrong?

If you were the Cowboys GM, which defensive player would you draft in the 1st round? Are you sold on a player like Aaron Donald, or would you rather get a defensive end, or perhaps a defensive back?  Aaron Donald is the hot pick for Dallas in most mock drafts, and if history is any indicator you may want to have another prospect to get enamored over. Mock drafts are more of an

Exactly Two Weeks left to decide on Ware

With the NFL Scouting Combine officially in the bag, the attention immediately shifts to the Cowboys cap or lack thereof. The Cowboys have exactly two weeks from today to get the team under the cap and the biggest decision revolves around DeMarcus Ware. Ware’s contract will levy a whopping $16 million against the cap this year, so the Cowboys can restructure the contract yet

Romo and Witten Could be last of Parcells Guys after 2013

There should be no surprise by now how the Cowboys are playing and how the season will end. That being said, I’m taking a peak into the offseason and it starts with revamping the roster. The glue that has supposedly kept the Cowboys in the hunt over the years has dried up and can longer be relied upon. Have you ever looked at something that was glued, but after years, it becomes

Dez Bryant Will Delay Surgery

After seeing two doctors and both advising Dez Bryant have surgery, Dez will look to delay the surgery to his index finger. If Dez can look catch and play in practice the Cowboys will clear him to play against the Steelers. To me, I think this is going to be more as a decoy, I’m not sure he’ll be as effective obviously. That being said, I look for Dwayne Harris and Cole

Giants sat back and let Cowboys implode

The Cowboys drop another game at home against the Giants in a turnover bonanza spooktacular. The Cowboys suck, straightup and now drop to 3-4 and the forecast for the remainder of the season looks bleak. The guys are the laughing stock of the league, no one plays as sloppy and stupid as the Cowboys right now. I don’t even know how we have won 3 games. Here’s what I do

Halftime Thoughts: Trade Dez Bryant Now

That may have been the worst half I have seen in years, the Cowboys can’t seem to get out of their own way. The Giants don’t even need to play defense when the Cowboys are just giving the ball away on miscues and mistakes. Dez Bryant is in his 3rd year and still looks like a rookie. He’s not working out in Dallas, and enough is enough. Trade Dez and move on. Dez

Its the question every Cowboys fan asks themselves, and it unfortunate. I cannot remember the last time this team put together consecutive, convincing wins; however, the Cowboys have a chance Sunday to start a winning streak against the Giants. The chips seem to big stacked against the Cowboys, they haven’e played sound football on offense, and defensive leader, Sean Lee is

Cowboys Win, but Penalties Continue to stifle the Offense

The Cowboys were able to defeat a bad 1-4 Carolina Panthers team, but barely and now the Cowboys get back to a very mediocre 3-3 record for the year. After six games, the Cowboys have an identity, which is a conservative and penalty making thirsty team. We are still a bad team, and you can definitely expect more of the same type of games. The Cowboys have absolutely proven the penalty

Roster Spots Cowboys Must Re-evaluate

I don’t know about you, but the Bears game is still on my mind, and I’m looking for answers. What is this team going to do to be competitive and win some games? I surely thought we would see some changes on the offensive line since that’s the weakest unit on the team. Changes need to be made, and we’re mainly talking about RG Mackenzy Bernadeau - he stinks. Garrett

Player and Coaching Upgrades Key to Victory

It sounds weird to say this game against the NY Giants was a must-win this early in the season, but it definitely was and the Cowboys showed up in vintage form. There were a ton of questions heading into this game and several were answered emphatically. We know about the big plays, the clutch plays; but, let’s take a look at the inner workings that lead us to 24-17 victory. Conditioning Two
