Free Agency is three days deep and Cowboys fans are salivating at some pretty good players going bye-bye as we remain handcuffed to our horrid cap management. If the season started today, the Cowboys would not win more than 8 games. The offensive line from 2012 remains fully intact and that should be scaring the crap outta fans. The #1 weakness going into the upcoming season is our offensive line – its bad.
I’m confident the defense will be fine under Monte Kiffin and his assistants; however, with nothing changing on the offensive side of the ball, I have serious concerns. You can’t have Doug Free bumbling around and getting pushed around out there at RT, you might as well bring back Rob Petitti or a beat up Marc Colombo. Witten could probably play the position better, not kidding. I don’t want to hear crap about giving Jeremy Parnell a shot, this team doesn’t have time for more failed expeirements. Draft a blue-chipper and fortify the edges.
We have to believe the Cowboys are targeting offensive line with their first pick. I don’t want to see the Cowboys screw this pick up. Target offensive line and stick with that, we can draft for everything after this is addressed. We need at least two young legit rookies to fix this joke of a line. Give us a center and a RT.
With so many needs at OL, Safety and DL I would like to see us trade down a few spots and get an extra 3rd rounder or better. If we trade back to let’s say #25, we could still get Kawann Short, an ideal 3-gap DT and then trade the additional pick(s) we got and move into the second round and with one pick grab Barrett Jones(C/G) and maybe Cyprien at safety. What do you think?
