Assistants on the Move, Bowles Staying in Miami?

Wade Phillips has asked permission to speak with the Cowboys LB coach Reggie Herring, and secondary coach Brett Maxie could follow. They will probably be gone either way, so I don’t see Jerry stopping Phillips from bring them to Houston.

On the Todd Bowles front, according to Fox’s Jay Glazer, Sparano is staying in Miami after they failed to land Jim Harbaugh, which most likely means Bowles will be unavailable to come over to Dallas after all. We’ll see if this is true, and if so, Dallas will need to look elsewhere. Jamie Dukes from NFL Network suggested we talk to Eric Mangini to run the 3-4.
