The Cowboys fired another assistant coach, and this time its defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. This is a move that I wanted to see happen, and one that needed to happen. Fact is, Ryan talked too much and couldn’t back it up, nor did he he ever elevate the defense to a top flight defense. Its funny to hear that his defense was exotic and aggressive – it was not. How many

Romo’s Extension and Drafting Johnny Manziel

Cowboys Nation is still waiting for some “changes” in Dallas, nothing last week, but with a full work week this week, maybe some changes will start coming. Last year Tony Sparano looked like a good fit to return, but didn’t happen, and this year the talk revolves around Norv Turner. You also have the possibility of changes on defense, Rob Ryan and the 3-4 are on

Rob Ryan Will Remain Defensive Coordinator in 2013

Well, Jason Garrett’s press conference just finished and he didn’t want to entertain questions about the coordinators, and pretty much defended Rob Ryan. Listening to Garrett just further confirms my fears for 2013, in which, Rob Ryan will be back for the 2013 season. Furthermore, the 3-4 will remain as the base defense, and he will be the one calling the plays –

Romo Kills Cowboys Nation, Again

The season is over, and its the same story, different year. Tony Romo is never going to get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl. He cannot do it, he just cannot win the big games – he’s no good. Romo has been adequate, but he just keeps killing the team in playoff type games and in the playoffs. Heartbreaking. I can’t even believe this is how the season ended, what a

Payton Still a Saint, Jason Garrett Will be back in 2013

If you need more assurances that Jason Garrett will be back in 2013, we just got the clincher tonight as Jay Glazer reported that the Saints and Sean Payton have agreed in principle to a 5yr extension. Garrett will be back in 2013 even with a loss to the Redskins. I’m hoping the Cowboys will be able to defeat the Redskins and make a playoff run; however, if we lose, there

Dez Bryant Will Delay Surgery

After seeing two doctors and both advising Dez Bryant have surgery, Dez will look to delay the surgery to his index finger. If Dez can look catch and play in practice the Cowboys will clear him to play against the Steelers. To me, I think this is going to be more as a decoy, I’m not sure he’ll be as effective obviously. That being said, I look for Dwayne Harris and Cole

Cowboys Pull Out a Win on Highly Emotional Day

The Cowboys keep winning close games, but today’s was one that can propel them through the rest of the season, the emotions are unfathomable and the Cowboys won. This game had all the trademarks that have driven Cowboys fans crazy, but with the close win the Cowboys are very much still in the wild card race. The Cowboys will need everything they have in them the rest of the

Cowboys @ Bengals today, Playoff implications for Both

The Cowboys are on the road against a solid team, so this game should be interesting. I honestly don’t see the Cowboys winning this game. This year has just be disastrous to say the least, and now the offense is playing better, but the defense has reverted to 2011. The defense will have their hands full, and if we can’t get to Dalton, this will be a long day. I’ve

Cowboys Move to 6-6 with Victory over Lowly Eagles

The Cowboys move past the Eagles tonight, and move to 6-6 and somehow still in the playoff hunt. First thing, I’d like to mention is that we’re going to see some people go over board with this win, and think we’re back on track. We are not, the defense has slowly reverted back to its 2011 self, in some part due to injuries. Let’s quell the playoff talk people.

Cowboys host Toilet Bowl II Sunday Night

The two worst teams in the NFC East will face off again tonight, for a battle of last place. Who will win, does anyone care at this point? The Cowboys and Eagles are mirror images of themselves, so it’ll just be a matter of which team will make the most mistakes. Both of these teams embody and define what a bad football team is, and tonight one of these teams will take another

Cowboys Get Manhandled by Redskins, Drop to 5-6

The Cowboys are a sorry team. There’s no hope for the 2013 season after watching this abysmal display of what is suppose to be professional football. We need to get over the thoughts of playoffs; and yes, we are mathematically still in it, but we are not competitively in it – we suck. When we went down 21-3, I knew it was game over, it was laughable to say the least,

Cowboys improve to 5-5, Projecting the remaining games

I’m going to take a page from George St. Pierre and say: Dallas, I was not impressed by your performance. I’ve never been one to be optimistic when it comes to saying a win is a win. The Cowboys are horrible, straight up sloppy sorry football. How do we even have 5 wins? Stop holding your breath in waiting for that offensive break-out game, its never going to happen. When
