The Cowboys continue to shoot themselves in the foot with penalties. We have not sustained a decent drive. Crayton’s bad finger is effecting his ability to catch the ball, pull him now. Not only are we playing against the Bears, but we’re playing against the refs in this game. We’re getting some horrible calls, and Im starting to wonder if we have a ref in this
Sloppy play on the offensive line, and too much cushion on the Bears WRs was the story of the 1st quarter. Penalties killed drives, and FLozell continues his quest for being the all-time offsides LT in Cowboys history. The refs are making horrible calls against us as well. Share
Well, the day of reckoning is here, its our first big game on the road. This game against the Bears will assess how good this new Garrett offense stacks up against one of the better defenses in the NFL. Questions remain for both teams: Do the Bears have a good defense or have they simply not played anyone yet? Is the Cowboys offense the real deal or have we not played anyone? Two
Newman has been practicing more, and looks like he could very well play against the Bears this Sunday Night. If he plays, it will be in the nickel and dime packages for sure. …all signs point toward that decision being a favorable one for the Cowboys’ defense even though the veteran cornerback still is listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report. While Jacques
Take a look around the web, and you’ll see virtually every headline saying the Bears will be a “litmus test,” or a “measuring stick” I disagree. In fact, I see it the other way around. The Cowboys have been virtually unstoppable on offense. The Bears have more to prove than the Cowboys. The pressure is on Rex Grossman, and the Bears defense. The Bears
Nate Jones was released in order for the Cowboys to sign Tank Johnson. He has been re-signed. DMN:Â Good thing they never cleaned his locker out CB Nate Jones cleared waivers and has been re-signed. I had a hunch this would happen when I noticed that his locker still had his nameplate above it and equipment in it. Share
The Cowboys signed up Tank Johnson for pennies on the dollar: The Cowboys will pay Johnson a prorated base salary of $510,000 this year, depending on how many games he plays, and he will earn a $605,000 base salary in 2008 with the chance to earn more money through incentives. (ed. note – the prorated salary is expected to be $225,000 this year) Jerry Jones is killing a whole
Todd Archer reports that the Cowboys signed suspended DT Tank Johnson. I’ve got no beef with this move. It’s a low-risk, high-reward deal that provides depth at a position that was the Cowboys’ primary concern. NT Jay Ratliff will need reinforcements after taking a pounding for the first half of the season. If Johnson screws up again, send him packing (bags, not
Looks like the Cowboys are doing their due diligence and are bringing former Bears DT Tank Johnson into Dallas this week! From DMN: Sources say the Cowboys are bringing in former Bears defensive lineman Tank Johnson for a workout. Johnson is serving an NFL suspension. Details to come. Share
Its as simple as that. Its a proven fact that Rex Grossman chokes under the big lights. I’m sure he’s doubting himself going into week three, he’s probably telling himself: “The Cowboys are for real, I don’t know, I hope I can win the game” or “What if I start throwing dumb interceptions, will my defense pick up the slack? If the Cowboys
Another solid game from the offense. The similarities between this offensive squads of the ’90s is eeriely similar. Under Jimmy Johnson, the Cowboys took a good half to get going, and these Cowboys are the same. Garrett has been surgical with his play selection and Romo has been pinpoint accurate; and, the combination of the two will be deadly effective against our opponents.
The Cowboys square off against the Dolphins in what should be a relatively close game despite some blowout predictions I’ve been reading on the web. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for blowouts, and its not out of the realm as a possibility; however, the Dolphins have a good defense which could keep them in the game. As you read in our Phinfever.com Q&A session,
