6.5.08 | Owens Remaining a Cowboy The Cowboys have
announced that they have resigned Terrell Owens for a 3-yr
extension for $27 million. Looks like Owens will retire a Cowboy.
Let's get some Super Bowl rings. Hamlin remains the only Cowboy
unsigned and cannot participate until he signs his tender. The
Cowboys are still working on his deal, and news should be coming
soon. Chris Canty has already signed his tender, but its expected
that he'll earn a new deal sometime this season.
1.23.08 | 2008 Draft Picks The Cowboys have earned the #22 and #28 pick
overall for the 2008 NFL Draft. #22 Comes from the Browns, and #28 from our
13-3 one and done season. Hoefully the Cowboys will be looking at bolstering
the Secondary and Wide Receiver positions.
2.21.08 | Hamlin Tagged The Cowboys have applied the Franchise Tag to FS
Ken Hamlin. Hamlin will get paid over $4 million, but the Cowboys will be
working on a long term deal as well. Flozell Adams will hit the free agent
market, and the Cowboys will be looking at promoting someone to that starting
role or add someone via free agency, June cuts, or the draft.
2.24.08 | NFL Combine The NFL Combine is underway in INDY, and there are
some names coming up from the offensive side of the ball already. Darren
McFadden worked out and had solid numbers, and a blazing 40; however,
some NFL executives say he has some red flags. McFadden may slip some,
but not much. OT Jake Long is the man this year, RB Rashard Mendenhall will
be a 1st rounder as well. WR Eddie Royal is gaining some buzz and has
spoken with the Cowboys quite extensively.

4.29.08 | Cowboys Draft The Cowboys have a very busy draft, and they
managed to improve the secondary, they added a homerun hitter with Felix
Jones, upgraded TE with Marcellus Bennett, and after the dust settled they
acquired a 3rd and 4th rounder for the 2009 draft. Stacked, stacked, stacked.
Good job with the offseason moves, and the draft is icing on the cake.

Rookie Minicamp is this weekend.

5.17.08 | Barber Practicing Alone Cowboys starting RB Marion Barber is
reportedly working out in Miami and not with the team. Some media pundits do
not agree with this and we're beginning to see some of the media taking jabs
at Barber. For me, Barber will be here come the preseason. He's known for
having a brutal workout schedule, and he'll be in top shape when camp comes
along. Barber is a proven commodity, and will get his well deserved contract
soon, that I'm sure of.
5.21.08 | Cowboys Going Green The Cowboys spent nearly $100 million
dollars in contracts for two players. Don't complain about a slow free agency for
this year or next, because the Cowboys did their due diligence in signing
franchise players in Marion Barber III and Terence Newman. Barber and
Newman are masters of their domains in their respective positions. As fans,
we can rest easy. Barber and Newman will retire as Cowboys. Going green
seems to be the trend these days, I'll take it.

Marion Barber signed 7yrs for $45 million
Terence Newman signed 6yrs for $50.2 million
